Are you an Occupational Therapist seeking a new Permanent challenge? Do you have previous experience working with Children and Younger People with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties? Are you looking for a rewarding contract offering increased flexibility? \n

Service Care Solutions are working in partnership with our esteemed client to recruit an Occupational Therapist in the Southampton area. The successful candidate will provide support Younger People with varied Learning Disabilities including ADHD, ASD, SEMH and SLCN as well as Developmental Trauma, Neuro-developmental Conditions and Special Educational Needs. The role may involve covering two sites across Southampton with a combined age range of 4 to 16. \n

Job Purpose: Occupational Therapist \n
\n
Salary: £35.00-£40.00 LTD per hours (Depending on Experience)\n
\n \n
Location: Southampton\n
\n \n
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30\n
\n \n
Contract: LOCUM, 30 hours per week (applications of 15+ hours will be considered)\n
\n
\nThe post holder will work as part of the Multidisciplinary Team to engage, encourage and inspire the Younger People to be themselves.\n
Key Responsibilities:\n
\n
    \n
  • Carry out highly specialist OT assessments of children/young people/adults with complex, diverse presentations
    • \n
  • Work independently with own caseload, delivering direct assessment and intervention (individual and group)
    • \n
  • Formulate intervention plans/programmes integrated into EHCPs, using evidence-based practice
    • \n
  • Lead screening of referrals and provide feedback to the wider team
    • \n
  • Monitor and evaluate risk to/from own caseload and in advice given to others
    • \n
  • Provide highly specialist advice, consultation and training on OT scope to staff and external agencies
    • \n
  • Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary/multi-agency meetings
    • \n
  • Maintain highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing
    • \n
  • Produce OT-related risk assessments
    • \n
Essential\n

  • Registered with the HCPC
    • \n
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy
    • \n
  • Substantial experience working with Children & Younger People
    • \n
