Job description
Mechanical & Electrical Fitter Location Middleton Salary £18.00 - £19.50 per hour, depending on experience Contract Type Permanent Working Hours 39 hours per week Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 Friday: 08:00 - 13:00 Overtime available, paid at time and a half and double time, depending on hours worked. The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical & Electrical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturer specialising in the design and manufacture of industrial rubber mixing machinery. Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, the successful candidate will be involved in the assembly, fitting, installation and commissioning of bespoke machinery. The role offers a varied workload, with approximately a 50/50 split between mechanical and electrical work, although this will fluctuate depending on project requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturer offering overtime, the opportunity to travel internationally, and long-term career development within a specialist engineering environment. International travel may be required to support machinery installations and commissioning at customer sites worldwide, although this is not essential for the role.
