Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only\n
Salary: £14.24 per hour\n
\nAre you a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for Early Years education? A welcoming and supportive primary school in Newhaven is seeking a full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to support young children at the start of their educational journey, helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.\n
\nThe Role As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:\n
\n
    \n
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative learning activities.
    • \n
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to promote learning and development.
    • \n
  • Encourage children's social, emotional, and communication skills.
    • \n
  • Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
    • \n
  • Assist with observations, assessments, and classroom preparation.
    • \n
  • Support children's personal care where required, in line with school policies.
    • \n
The Ideal Candidate\n
    \n
  • Has experience working with children in an EYFS setting.
    • \n
  • Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (desirable but not essential).
    • \n
  • Has a nurturing, patient, and positive approach.
    • \n
  • Works well as part of a team and uses their own initiative.
    • \n
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • \n
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one).
    • \n
  • Has the right to work in the UK.
    • \n
