Are you an experienced Accountant looking for a broad, hands-on role where you can make a real impact?\n
\nWarner Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established and successful SME based near Daventry. With a turnover of circa £7 million, this is a stable, friendly business with an excellent reputation and low staff turnover.\n
\nWorking closely with the CEO, this role offers a varied and responsible position where you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while contributing to the wider business.\n

The Role\n
\nAs Accountant, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the finance function, including:\n
\n
    \n
  • Preparing accurate monthly management accounts
    • \n
  • Managing P&L, cashflow and balance sheet reporting
    • \n
  • Supporting budget setting and monitoring performance
    • \n
  • Cashflow forecasting
    • \n
  • VAT returns and statutory compliance
    • \n
  • Credit control and debtor management
    • \n
  • Day-to-day accounting (sales ledger, purchase ledger, nominal ledger, journals and reconciliations)
    • \n
  • Bank payments and payroll oversight
    • \n
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
    • \n
  • Liaising with external accountants and auditors
    • \n
About You\n
\nWe’re looking for someone who enjoys a hands-on, all-round finance role within an SME environment:\n
\n
    \n
  • AAT qualified (or equivalent experience)
    • \n
  • Strong practical accounting experience
    • \n
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
    • \n
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • \n
  • High attention to detail
    • \n
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
    • \n
