This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to work in global regulated financial institution and gain exposure to a broad range of employment law, employee benefits and compensation matters in the UK and other global locations.How youll spend your time...The role will report to our EMEA/APAC employment lawyer based in London and support other lawyers in the Global Employment Law Team providing legal and practical advice to HR and senior stakeholders across the employment life cycle including:Advising on contentious and non-contentious HR/employee relations issuesDrafting and reviewing contracts of employment, HR policies, and settlement agreementsAssisting in all phases of employment and benefits litigationConducting legal researchLiaising with external legal advisers when requiredAssisting with transformation, integration and change processes including outsourcing, insourcing, mergers and acquisitions and changes to benefits and terms and conditions of employment.Supporting Benefits Committee operations by managing legal deliverables and preparing fiduciary materialsThe role will play an integral role in the team and be given responsibility to manage an independent caseload, with structured supervision and mentoring.To be successful in this role you will have...Established experience in employment law in the UK either in a private practice law firm or in house at a multi-national corporationStrong drafting and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEffectively manages concurrent projects or tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.Commercially aware, practically minded and solutions-focusedComfortable working autonomously when neededCurious and keen to learnIf you also had this, it would be great...Law degree/LPCExperience working in financial servicesKnowledge of senior managers and certification regime (SMCR), or other financial services licensing regimes outside of the UKExperience working on employment law matters outside of the UKKnowledge of regulatory compensation rules in EuropeExperience of employee benefits matters/commercial contract negotiationIn-Office CollaborationWe are a client-centric, relationship-based business.
