Job description
Competitive salary, dependent on experience Street Group is one of the fastest-growing PropTech companies in the UK. We want to transform the experience of buying, selling, renting and letting property, elevating UK estate agencies through world-class technology. Cortex is an exciting new product that brings agentic AI into Street and Spectre, taking on the busywork so agents can focus on winning instructions and building relationships. Its early, moving fast, and will ultimately touch every part of the product suite. Were looking for a Lead Product Designer to shape what agentic UX looks like across all of it. We want someone who is genuinely excited by agentic AI, past needing to be told whats worth working on, and ready to help define a product category that doesnt have a playbook yet - working closely with senior stakeholders across the business. If you look at most UX job ads, you see a laundry list of requirements. We prefer to tell you how we actually operate so you can decide if this is the right environment for you. * At Street Group, design is a strategic seat. Youll drive direction alongside product and engineering, not respond to them. * Our users rely on us to run their businesses, so they love talking to us. You can spin up a call and validate a prototype instantly. We dont guess; we ask. * We move at pace, including on strategic work. Strategy isnt a separate, slower track here - we test it by shipping. Heres what you can expect to be working on * Shape the UX of agentic AI across Street and Spectre - deciding which agency workflows agents should own, then designing how that actually feels and builds trust for the user. * Design across the whole suite, not one domain - valuation, prospecting, marketing, enquiry handling, sales progression, property management. Youll hold a huge amount of context. * Define the patterns for a new category. Theres no established playbook for agentic UX in property - youll set it. * Set the craft bar through your own output. The work you ship is the reference point for what good looks like. * Prototype, test and ship at pace - getting working prototypes in front of real agents and iterating fast. You should apply if: * Youve built or shaped agentic AI, not just used AI tools - multi-step, tool-using agents youve designed, prototyped or shipped. You understand how they work and where they break. * Youve got a well-formed point of view on agentic UX - how you design for systems that dont always behave the same way, how you build in trust, transparency and control, and when to keep a human in the loop. * You stay current. This field moves monthly and you keep on top of it. * Youre energised by an undefined problem space and bring the case for whats worth doing, rather than waiting for a brief. * Youre commercially fluent - you make design trade-offs informed by how the product performs, not just user preference. You define success before you ship and read the result after. You probably shouldnt apply if: * Your AI experience is limited to speeding up your own workflow. This role is about designing AI into the product, and that gap will show quickly. * Youre looking for the next pay band up from Senior with broadly similar expectations. This is not a "Senior+" role - it expects materially more scope, autonomy and judgment. * You need a well-defined problem before you can start. Cortex is still taking shape, and that wont change soon. * You expect to be handed a roadmap. Here, you help write it. A bit about you * AI & agentic depth: Non-negotiable, and the first thing well screen for. Current, hands-on knowledge of agentic AI, with real examples of what youve built or shaped. * Craft: Lead-level UX and product design. Your work is exemplary and you can articulate it clearly enough to teach. * Breadth: Comfortable operating across the whole product suite and holding a lot of context at once, not going deep on a single domain. * Ambiguity: You do your best work when the problem isnt yet defined. * Cross-functional: A peer at the table with product and engineering, partnering closely with a good PM without treading on each others toes. * Technical fluency: Being hands-on enough to prototype with code is a real advantage here, given how close design sits to how these systems work. Its a plus, not a hard requirement. * Experience: Typically this comes with around 8+ years in product/UX design at senior IC level - but we care more about evidence you can operate at Lead altitude than the exact number, especially given how new agentic AI is. SaaS or complex product experience is helpful; property experience isnt required. Research has shown that women tend to rule themselves out of applying for jobs unless they meet 100% of the requirements. If you fall into that category and are about to rule yourself out based on the above criteria, please consider applying anyway. Wed love to see your application. Benefits * Hybrid-working - you can work from home up to 4 days per week * Guilt-Free R&R - £1000 towards a holiday after your first year with the team (well even cover the tax!) * Joining a culture that supports your development and encourages growth * £500 yearly L&D budget for your career development * Your birthday on us - we pay, you stay away * Give something back - 2 paid days volunteering on us * Enhanced maternity, paternity & adoption pay * Public transport season ticket loans * Paid menopause leave * Joining a new team in an exciting business with huge ambition * Be a part of something bigger - everyone in our team is passionate about improving the entire property industry! Its a huge goal, but it motivates us to do better every single day * A chance to work on cutting-edge technology * Comfortable, relaxed office space - office dogs welcome! * Fully stocked fridge and beers (or an alternative) on us every Friday afternoon * Company and team off-sites, events and happy hours * Cycle to work scheme * Electric car salary sacrifice scheme * Feel good about sustainability - were a climate-positive company! Were not publishing a fixed band for this one. Well build the package around your experience and the scope you bring, so please apply and lets have the conversation. We care deeply about helping the tech industry become a more inclusive and diverse place and we work hard to lead by example. We are committed to Equal Employment Opportunity through attracting and retaining a complementary team of employees and building an inclusive environment for all. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and be able to perform the work specified. Interview Process 3 stages = An introductory call with one of our Talent team > Technical Interview inc. a Design & AI Task with our Head of UX > Final interview with our Co-Founder. We want to make our interviews as inclusive as possible, so if you need any adjustments made or if theres anything you think we should be aware of during the interview process, please do let us know. A note on using AI in your job application As a fast-moving and rapidly evolving tech company, we embrace the advantages of AI and encourage its use throughout our application process. However, our goal is to get to know and hire the authentic you - your skills, experience, and values. We dont want to hire an AI-generated version of you. We consider AI to be a valuable tool, not something that should shadow you as an individual. J-18808-Ljbffr
