Job description
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? Do you have the patience, empathy, and dedication to help students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) thrive both academically and personally? We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic ASD Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils by helping them build confidence, independence, communication skills, and positive learning experiences every day. The successful candidate will work closely with primary aged children with ASD who may also present with associated needs such as speech and language difficulties, sensory processing needs, anxiety, or social and emotional challenges. The role requires pateince and creativity, patience and empthay, but also a willingness to get involved with the pupils and encourage learning through play and tailored activities. About the Role As an ASD Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. You will help create a structured, nurturing, and engaging environment where pupils feel safe, understood, and encouraged to achieve their full potential. You may provide support on a 1:1 basis or work with small groups of students, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs and using autism-friendly approaches ...
