Job description# About You To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: **Essential criteria** 1. Full GMC registration with a valid license to practice 2. PhD or MD (research) thesis submitted at the time of application or (PhD or MD (research) fully awarded before taking up the post) 3. Currently in Paediatric Specialty Training post at ST4 to ST7, with satisfactory ARCP outcomes 4. Demonstrable potential for high-quality research in Maternal/ Child Health 5. Evidence of scientific publications, and presentations 6. Evidence of GCP certification and understanding of research governance and ethics 7. Demonstration of understanding and commitment to an academic career 8. Demonstration of the potential for scientific independence **Desirable criteria** 1. Specific research interest or experience aligned to the scope of work in KCL’s leading paediatric research group 2. Demonstrated ability or desire to collaborate across disciplines 3. Successful involvement in grant applications as a named researcher or co-investigator 4. Demonstration of the potential for scientific independence and the ability to lead a research team 5.
