- Weekday: £170.88 per 12-hour shift
- Weekend: £180.00 per 12-hour shift
About the Role
New Age Recruiters is seeking compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Supported Living Carers to support an individual with complex care needs within a supported living environment.
The individual is non-verbal (mute) and has a history of epileptic seizures, so previous experience supporting people with communication difficulties and seizure management is essential. You will play a vital role in promoting independence while ensuring the individual's safety, dignity, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support.
- Support an individual who is non-verbal using appropriate communication methods.
- Recognise, monitor, and respond appropriately to seizure activity in accordance with the individual's care plan.
- Assist with personal care, medication support (where trained), nutrition, hydration, and mobility.
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity always.
- Maintain accurate care records and incident reports.
- Support with daily living activities and community access where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Follow safeguarding procedures, infection prevention protocols, and all relevant policies.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months' UK experience in Supported Living, Complex Care, or a similar healthcare setting.
- Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy or seizure disorders.
- Experience caring for individuals who are non-verbal or have significant communication needs.
- Good understanding of person-centred care.
- Excellent communication and observation skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Compassionate, reliable, patient, and professional.
Desirable
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
- Medication administration training.
- Epilepsy or seizure management training.
- PMVA/MAPA or other positive behaviour support training.
- First Aid and Basic Life Support certification..
