Time and a Half (£25.50 per hour) About the Role We are looking for experienced and reliable
Concrete Casters
to join a busy manufacturing team producing high-quality precast concrete panels used in the construction of secure prison walls. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to health and safety. You will be working as part of a team to manufacture reinforced concrete products to strict quality standards. Key Responsibilities Preparing moulds for concrete casting. Pouring, levelling and finishing concrete. Installing reinforcement and other components into moulds. Stripping moulds and safely removing finished concrete units. Carrying out quality inspections to ensure products meet specification. Using hand and power tools safely and effectively. Maintaining a clean and organised work area. Following all health and safety procedures and site regulations. Working collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily targets. What We're Looking For Experience working withconcreteor in a manufacturing/production environment. Ability to read and follow technical drawings, work instructions and specifications. Knowledge ofconcretemixing, pouring, casting and finishing techniques. Experience preparing, assembling and stripping moulds/formwork. Ability to use hand and power tools safely. Good attention to detail to ensure products meet quality standards. Manual handling capability and willingness to undertake physically demanding work. Good numeracy skills for measuring materials and checking dimensions. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Reliable with a strong work ethic and good timekeeping. Desirable Skills
Previous experience in precastconcretemanufacturing. Experience using overhead cranes (with relevant certification). Forklift Truck (FLT) licence. Knowledge of reinforcement placement (rebar, mesh or cages). Experience carrying out minor maintenance on moulds and equipment. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles. Basic IT skills for recording production or quality checks.
