Join Our Team as a Student Veterinary Nurse! Are you ready to put pets first? At CVS Vets, we make pets a priority every day! Role Details: Student veterinary Nurse Location: Paignton TQ4 5AY Hours: 40hr week Shift Pattern: One day at college and the rest of the week working in practice, usually some variation of between 8am - and 5-7pm. Will be required to work every other Saturday 9am -3pm but will have the following Monday off that week. About the Role: As a Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN), you will play a critical role in our outstanding veterinary practice. Youll support our team of qualified RVNs and Vets in delivering exceptional care to our patients, all while working alongside a fantastic team. Responsibilities * Provide nursing care to patients * Assist Vets and Nurses in animal restraint during treatments * Clean, walk, and feed patients * Prepare emergency and operating facilities * Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties * Run internal lab samples * Answer emergency calls * Cover the receptionist desk, including handling queries, booking appointments, and processing payments Who Were Looking For: * Excellent communication skills with strong empathy * Superior customer service abilities with experience in public interactions * Background in animal welfare, including feeding, cleaning, medicating, and handling, with a deep understanding of animal welfare needs * Resilience and the capacity to handle distressing and emotional situations * Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills * Experience in a veterinary environment is a plus Required Qualifications (for college enrolment): * Five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including English, Maths, and a Science subject * Or an animal nursing assistant (ANA) or veterinary care assistant (VCA) qualification, plus functional skills level two in Application of Number and Communication Our Offer to You: We understand that benefits matter.
