About the Role The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Students follow a broad curriculum covering Shakespeare, classic and modern literature, poetry, drama, creative writing, and language analysis. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English Literature and English Language examinations while encouraging a genuine enthusiasm for reading and critical thinking. You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through literacy initiatives, reading programmes, debating, creative writing activities, theatre visits, and enrichment opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom.
