Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale The Role A renowned Secondary School in Southampton is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and exceptionally organised Music Teacher to join their experienced Performing Arts faculty. This role is ideal for a dedicated specialist who excels at introducing students to structural composition, instrumental arrangement techniques, and digital recording parameters within a popular academic framework. The successful candidate will take operational responsibility for delivering a dynamic curriculum tracking Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 music pathways. The timetable focuses on core components including classical musicology, contemporary genre evolutions, solo performance metrics, and electronic music tracking systems at GCSE and A-Level. Beyond classroom instructions, key responsibilities include maintaining precise student assessment records, updating central tracking software arrays, building targeted intervention pathways for technical score reading fluency, and actively coordinating links with regional ensembles and instrumental tuition services. You must possess excellent communication skills and an objective approach to running musical rehearsals and seminars. Exceptional time-management and data logging capabilities are required to handle distinct specification plans, coursework moderation folios, and individual student progress files smoothly inside a busy secondary school environment.
