Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Elm Veterinary Group on a part-time basis. This role is a fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave. Elm Vets has been caring for pets and their owners across Plymouth for more than a century, and we’re now looking for an RVN to become part of our friendly, experienced and supportive team. We are an established practice serving our community for over 100 years. As a dedicated small animal practice, we see a diverse mix of patients and conditions, making every week both interesting and rewarding. This role is ideal for experienced nurses or someone newly qualified. Practice Highlights * Diverse and varied small animal caseload * Facilities such as ultrasound, digital and dental radiography, endoscopy equipment, and laparoscopic equipment. * In‑house certificate holders in ECC, critical care and orthopaedics How You’ll Make a Difference As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first‑opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. Working Pattern * 30 hours per week * 3 x weekday shifts between 8 am – 7 pm * 1:5 Saturdays 8:30 am – 3 pm (TOIL during week) General Responsibilities * Theatre work * Nurse consults * Dispensary duties You Might Be a Great Fit If… We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care.
