This leadership position is ideal for an experienced facilities coordinator, estates supervisor, or senior building technician looking to manage a dedicated premises team across a large, busy urban campus in the North East. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day mechanical efficiency, security, and cleaning operations of the academy. Key responsibilities include coordinating caretaker shift patterns, managing the building management system (BMS), tracking utility consumption metrics, and coordinating third-party maintenance contractors. You will assume personal accountability for the flawless tracking of all statutory building compliance records, including emergency lighting diagnostics, legionella flushing logs, fire alarm checks, and structural risk assessments in strict accordance with national HASAWA frameworks. You will serve as the primary expert adviser to the school's Senior Leadership Team on all estate and building developments. Absolute professionalism, robust organizational capabilities, and a data-driven approach to facilities management are required, as you will balance immediate reactive repairs with long-term preventative maintenance schedules and capital expenditure planning.
