About the Role

Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic individual to join a welcoming and supportive school, where you'll play a vital role in helping pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) achieve their full potential.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping to create an inclusive and positive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning and participate fully in school life.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans and support strategies.
  • Adapt learning activities and resources to meet the individual needs and abilities of pupils.
  • Support pupils with their social, emotional, and behavioural development, promoting confidence, independence, and positive relationships.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment in line with the school's behaviour policy.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to review meetings where appropriate.
  • Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare and safety of pupils at all times.

Requirements

  • Passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
  • Patient, caring, and committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
  • A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
  • Flexible, reliable, and proactive, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of pupils and the school.
  • Committed to promoting inclusion, equality, and the wellbeing of every child.
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Why Apply?

  • Full-time opportunity within a welcoming and inclusive school.
  • A rewarding role supporting pupils’ educational experience.
  • Access to training and professional development opportunities.
  • Refer a Friend scheme – earn up to £150 collectively.
