KS2 1-1 Teaching Assistant | BS4 | Full Time | September Start
We are looking for a calm and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the BS4 area of Bristol. This role involves providing dedicated 1-1 support to a child in KS2 who needs consistent and patient support throughout the school day.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with SEN experience who can bring a steady, calming presence to help a child thrive in their learning.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am to 3:30pm
- Term time only
What You Will Be Doing:
- Providing dedicated 1-1 support to a child in KS2
- Helping the child engage with classroom activities and learning
- Supporting with transitions, routines and daily tasks
- Building confidence and encouraging independence
- Assisting with social skills, communication and emotional regulation
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo
- Creating a calm, supportive and structured environment
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with SEN (essential)
- A calm, patient and reassuring presence
- Someone who enjoys being active and spending time outdoors
- A sporty or outdoorsy personality would suit this role well
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- A positive attitude and ability to stay composed under pressure
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Reliability and professionalism
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
