Were looking for an Engineering Lead to join the embedded finance team. Our mission is to build the worlds best embedded finance platform for our partners. Youll be working closely with multiple functions within our vertical from solutions engineering and business development to understand the pain points of some of the largest enterprises in the world. Together youll help partners such as Google Deel Ramp and Agoda leverage Wises infrastructure to offer their customers world class embedded finance products through their own channels. This will help us transform the international payments experience for even more customers and have a significant impact on Wises mission.
This is a hands-on engineering lead role that will support the engineers in their growth and driving technical decisions in building reliable scalable products. You will be working closely with a product manager in developing a long term vision and roadmap for the team and their domain.
What will you be working on
This is a hands-on role so you will be designing developing and maintaining the teams services.
Mentoring and supporting engineers in the team in their growth and development.
Support the team in technical decisions to make sure we build a high quality product that is reliable and scalable.
Working closely with a Product Manager to own and drive the teams direction and product plans.
Collaborate with teams across Wise to deliver real impact and expand the functionality we can offer to our partners on our platform.
Ownership of the teams services and product. Pushing best practices and high quality products.
Qualifications :

Proven experience leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
Strong hands-on experience of Java (or similar stacks).
Deep understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
Product mindset you think about customer impact not just technical implementation.
Strong experience designing and optimizing relational databases.
Following and advocating best coding practices continuous delivery and code reviews.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams and stakeholders.
