This position is a fantastic opportunity for an educator who excels at fostering practical performance skills, critical compositional analysis, and creative music technology workflows within a deeply supportive school environment. The successful candidate will deliver a dynamic and challenging timetable across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, preparing students for exceptional outcomes in advanced solo and ensemble performance, music theory, and historical context analysis up to GCSE and A-Level music specifications. Beyond classroom teaching, you will be expected to construct precise student progress tracking portfolios, manage internal departmental equipment logs, update school tracking software, and actively coordinate the academy’s extra-curricular ensembles, orchestral networks, and digital recording studios. You will support crisp communication with visiting instrumental tutors, parents, and external examination boards, ensuring that all practical performance logs and technical assessment registers are processed with total accuracy. Strong administrative skills are crucial, as the role requires balancing detailed practical coursework moderation with rigorous theoretical exam preparation within a busy school framework.
