Private Client Partner

Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Partner / Senior Associate to join a highly regarded law firm in Birmingham, West Midlands. As a Private Client Partner / Senior Associate, you will play a key role in the continued growth and development of the Private Client department, with a particular focus on estate planning, trusts and advising high-net-worth clients.

This role provides an excellent platform for an experienced Private Client lawyer to build their profile, develop strong client and professional relationships, and contribute to the ongoing success of the team across the West Midlands.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a high-quality Private Client caseload with a focus on estate planning
• Advising high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners on complex wealth planning matters
• Providing expert advice on trusts, succession planning and inheritance tax planning
• Developing long-term relationships with clients and professional advisers including accountants and IFAs
• Supporting business development initiatives and generating new instructions
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to maximise referral opportunities
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
• Maintaining excellent technical standards and delivering outstanding client service

You will be an experienced Private Client Partner or senior lawyer with strong technical expertise and the ambition to help develop and grow a successful practice area.

This role would suit an individual seeking greater autonomy, partnership progression and the opportunity to influence strategy within a supportive and collegiate environment.

You should be able to demonstrate:

• At least 8 years PQE experience within Private Client law
• Strong experience in estate planning and advising high-net-worth individuals
• Experience advising business owners on succession and wealth planning
• Confidence handling complex trust matters
• Ideally full STEP membership
• A strong track record of developing client and professional adviser relationships
• Experience supporting and mentoring colleagues
• Commercial awareness and business development capability
• Excellent technical ability and attention to detail
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
