The Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support children within Nursery and Reception classes.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Promote children's learning through play-based opportunities.
• Support children's social, emotional and educational development.
• Work with small groups and on a one-to-one basis where required.
• Help to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Always follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A recognised Teaching Assistant or EYFS qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 minimum).
• Experience supporting children within an EYFS setting.
• A sound understanding of the EYFS Framework and early childhood development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, flexible and positive approach to supporting learning.
• The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

• Regular bus services operating between Widnes and Liverpool City Centre, with frequent departures throughout the day.
• Easy access to the M62 and M56 motorway networks, making commuting from Liverpool and surrounding areas straightforward.
• Well-connected via the Mersey Gateway Bridge, providing convenient road links across the region.
• Ideal for candidates travelling from Liverpool, Runcorn, St Helens, Warrington and surrounding Cheshire and Merseyside areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
