Job description

About Us Stride Treglown is an employee-owned architectural and design practice and a certified B Corp. Since 1953, we have believed that great design requires a human approach, deep local knowledge, and specialist expertise. We are one of the UK’s largest practices, with over 300 specialists working across nine studios.

As a 100% Employee-Owned Trust, our colleagues are genuine stakeholders in our collective success. We work collaboratively, without ego, and are committed to delivering projects that make a positive contribution to our communities and the environment.

About the Role We are creating a new role within our Winning Work team to strengthen our Exceptional Experience programme and support our market-facing directors. This role sits at the heart of how we nurture client relationships, develop partnerships, and deliver a consistently excellent client experience across the practice.

This is a focused client care and executive-level support role, designed to introduce dedicated capability that adds long-term value. By providing proactive client intelligence, partnership support, and practical coordination, you will enable our directors to focus their time on high-value, outward-facing activity.

While elements of the role are operational, it is a strategically important position with real influence over how we build, maintain, and strengthen relationships. You will work closely with the wider Winning Work team, supporting directors and senior leaders through insight, structure, and thoughtful coordination.

The Winning Work team is based across Bath, Bristol, and Plymouth. The preferred location for this role is Bath or Bristol, with flexibility to travel to other studios as required. The role is anticipated to be 3–4 days per week (22.5 to 30 hours).

Key Responsibilities

The role is structured around three clear pillars:

  1. Strategic Client Intelligence & Insight Providing timely, relevant insight to support account management and partnership development. Key activities include:
    • Producing regular client and opportunity reports.
    • Managing monthly LEADS opportunity tracking to support pipeline visibility.
    • Researching clients, business structures, and relevant industry news ahead of meetings and events.
    • Preparing client biographies and company profiles.
    • Researching event attendees to support purposeful engagement.
  2. Client Relationship & Partnership Support Enabling consistent, high-quality engagement with clients and key partners. This will involve:
    • Maintaining accurate client and relationship data in Rapport3 (our CRM system).
    • Tracking and recording client interactions.
    • Preparing client intelligence briefings for meetings and key engagements.
    • Supporting Key Account Managers with reporting and insight.
    • Ensuring client touchpoints are logged and followed up.
    • Supporting the development and maintenance of Partnership Charters.
    • Coordinating milestone celebration events with key clients and delivery teams.
  3. Company-Wide Client Experience Enablement Helping colleagues deliver a consistently excellent client experience, while enabling directors to focus their time on high-value activity through executive and meeting coordination. This includes:
    • Coordinating diaries for directors and the Senior Leadership Team, particularly around Key Account Managers and key client meetings.
    • Reducing scheduling friction and back-and-forth communication.
    • Preparing and distributing meeting papers, agendas, and follow-up actions.
    • Ensuring all attendees are well-prepared with the right information ahead of meetings.

Stride Treglown is registered as a Disability Confident Committed Employer. We are committed to changing behaviours and cultures with inclusive recruitment practices. We believe that every individual irrespective of their race, colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, nationality, background, disability, or marital status can bring their full purpose to life. We will provide a fully accessible recruitment process and offer an interview to disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role.

This role would not meet the criteria under the Home Office Skilled Worker role. We are therefore unable to provide sponsorship and candidates applying would need to provide their own right to work in the UK.

Requirements

About You

You will be an experienced client care, executive support, or partnership support professional who enjoys working at pace, building relationships, and bringing structure and clarity to complex activity.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working across different teams and disciplines.
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with senior stakeholders.
  • Interested in client relationships, partnerships, and long-term value creation.
  • Able to manage sensitive or confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experienced in producing clear reports, briefings, and written insights to support decision-making.
  • Motivated by enabling others to perform at their best.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a client care, business coordination, or executive support role.
  • Experience of working within a construction, engineering, design, or professional services consultancy environment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (experience with Rapport3 would be an advantage, though training will be provided).
  • Strong IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • A willingness to travel occasionally to our other UK studios as required (travel costs and accommodation provided).

Benefits

As an employee-owned practice, we are committed to supporting our people. We offer a collaborative, inclusive, and rewarding working environment.

What We Can Offer:

  • Part-Time Hours: 22.5 to 30 hours per week (3–4 days), with hybrid, flexible, and agile working options.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: 25 days’ holiday (pro-rata) plus public holidays, Health Cash Plan, Life Assurance Scheme, Cycle to Work Scheme, and EV Lease Scheme.
  • Professional Development: Support with career progression, training, and education.
  • Culture: A supportive, friendly, open, and caring culture, backed by mentoring and opportunities to develop your skills.
  • Environment: A modern, well-equipped working environment in our Bath or Bristol studio.
