Job description
KS3 Teacher with SEND Experience

Location: Street, Somerset
Pay: £140 to £168 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (September to December 2026)

We're working with a welcoming and inclusive school in Street that's looking for a dedicated KS3 Teacher to join the team from September until December 2026. This role is perfect for a teacher who has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and is passionate about creating an environment where every learner can thrive.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering engaging lessons to KS3 pupils, adapting teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Supporting students with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Creating a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Working closely with the SENCO, support staff and families to provide the best possible outcomes for pupils.
  • Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies to support individual learning journeys.

We're looking for someone who

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has previous experience teaching pupils with SEND, including adapting lessons to meet a variety of additional needs.
  • Has experience teaching Key Stage 3.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Is committed to helping every child succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
