Job descriptionRegistered Manager – Children's Residential Home Location: West Yorkshire Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a brand-new Children's Residential Home in West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing a new service from the ground up. The home will initially operate as a solo residential placement , with plans to develop into a multi-bed home as the service grows. You will have the opportunity to shape the culture, recruit and develop your team, and ensure the highest standards of care for children and young people. About the Role As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and delivering outstanding care that enables children and young people to thrive. You will create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment while leading a committed staff team and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Register and manage the children's residential home in line with Ofsted requirements. Provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to the staff team. Ensure the home delivers high-quality, child-centred care that promotes positive outcomes. Maintain full compliance with relevant legislation, safeguarding standards, and company policies. Lead on care planning, risk management, and quality assurance. Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team as the service expands. Build positive relationships with local authorities, professionals, families, and external agencies. Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy effectively. Prepare the service for growth from a solo placement to a multi-bed provision. Essential Requirements Minimum 12 months' experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential setting. Previous experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities . Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children's residential legislation. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Full UK Driving Licence. Right to work in the UK (please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship ).
