Job description
Team Leader – Children's Homes £43,180 - £50,444 assuming good attendance and up to 3 sleep-ins per month. Our client's Team Leaders enable young people to regain their childhood and create pathways to become well-rounded adults – an incredibly rewarding role to have. There will be challenges along the way, but there will also be the smallest moments which feel like huge victories. Our client's homes accommodate young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, with the aim of creating the best possible outcomes for every young person in their care. Their Team Leaders are passionate about making even the smallest positive difference, celebrating every achievement along the way. Get out what you put in You'll play a key role in supporting young people day to day, ensuring the home runs smoothly while helping to create positive experiences and lasting memories. As a Team Leader, you'll also support and guide the staff team, ensuring the home continues to operate to the highest standards. You'll be prepared to deputise for the Registered and Deputy Managers when required. We're looking for someone who can build strong, trusting relationships with young people. Compassionate, emotionally resilient and supportive, you'll also have the leadership skills to motivate and inspire your colleagues. To be successful, you'll need: A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support your colleagues Genuine care, honesty and empathy for young people Emotional resilience and the ability to manage challenging situations A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months A Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care (or equivalent) You'll begin your journey with a comprehensive induction programme designed to give you the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the role and provide outstanding support to young people.
