Job description
OPRL are the UKs independent experts in recyclability for packaging, best known for our world leading on pack recycling labels that we supply to our members. We work to achieve OPRL’s vision of A world where packaging doesn’t go to waste. We are looking for an experienced Marketing Executive to support the delivery of day-to-day marketing and communications activity across the organisation for a 12 month fixed-term contract. You will play a hands‑on role across content, campaigns, communications and events, working alongside the wider marketing team. This is a generalist role suited to an experienced marketer who is confident managing work independently and contributing across multiple channels. We operate a hybrid working patterns which is typically Tuesday – Thursday office based in Banbury. Please note that our office location is not easily accessible by public transport, so access to your own transport is required. Key Responsibilities Including but not limited to: Content Development * Develop and coordinate content including: o Reports, blogs and articles o Website content o Video and multimedia content * Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and consistency * Ensure brand consistency and quality across all outputs Campaign Development * Manage digital and offline marketing campaigns from planning through to delivery * Media management and supply * Manage relevant campaign tracking, reporting and evaluation Events * Provide marketing support for key events, including: o Pre-event promotion o On‑site support at events where the organisation has a business stand o Post‑event communications and follow‑up Leads, Measurement & Reporting * Support in managing lead inbox and instances of label misuse * Track performance of communications and campaigns * Provide insights and recommendations based on data and engagement metrics Skills & Experience * Proven experience in a marketing or communications role * Experience working across multiple channels (digital and offline) * Strong content writing and editing skills * Ability to manage work independently and meet deadlines * Understanding of marketing measurement and reporting * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Experience working with membership‑based or service organisations * Experience managing agencies or external suppliers * Experience using Wordpress * Familiarity with CMS and email marketing platforms (ideally Hubspot) * Experience in using Canva Personal Attributes * Well organised and adaptable * Confident self‑starter who can quickly get up to speed * Strong attention to detail * Collaborative and supportive team player * Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision Qualifications * Maths and English GCSE or equivalent – Essential * Higher education qualification such as degree in relevant subject or equivalent experience – Highly desirable Behaviours * Aligns with the organisation values – we are Independent, Pioneering, Expert and Ethical.
