Job description
Residential Practitioner – Childrens Home Locations: Pontefract (WF11) or Halifax Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 per annum + sleep-in payments Hours: Average 48 hours per week (including sleep-ins) Sleep-ins: 2 per week Service: Residential Childrens Home Supporting: Children and young people aged 7–17 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Mild Learning Difficulties Make a Lasting Difference Our client is looking for caring, resilient and dedicated Residential Practitioners to join their established childrens homes in Pontefract and Halifax. What Youll Be Doing * Providing day‑to‑day care and emotional support * Building positive, trusting relationships with young people * Supporting education, activities and life skills * Promoting positive behaviour using therapeutic approaches * Completing daily records and safeguarding documentation * Working closely with families and professionals to achieve the best outcomes Pay & Working Pattern * Salary: £26,000 per annum (excluding sleep-in payments) * 48‑hour average working week * 2 sleep-ins per week * A structured rota providing consistency and work‑life balance Training & Development Our client is committed to helping you build a long‑term career.
