Job description
Everywhen Emerging Careers Apprenticeship Programme 2026 Everywhen , part of the wider Ardonagh Group, is pleased to invite applications for our 2026 Apprentice Claims Handler intake, forming part of our award‑winning Emerging Careers Programme. This structured development pathway offers a supported introduction to the insurance profession, combining full‑time employment with accredited learning. These apprentices are full time positions in Southampton so you will need to be within a reasonable commute of this location. Initially the role will be fully based in the office, moving to a hybrid working arrangement when training is complete. About the Programme Starting in September 2026 , apprentices will complete a comprehensive 6‑week induction , followed by an 18‑month Level 3 Insurance Apprenticeship . Throughout the programme, apprentices receive guidance from experienced mentors, on‑the‑job training, and access to our award‑winning Learning & Development team. Successful completion leads to a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification , enabling progression into specialist, leadership or commercial pathways within Everywhen. Don’t just take our word for it, let’s hear from one of our 2025 apprentices: Charlie Brawn, Apprentice Account Handler, London “I came into the apprenticeship around 3 months after I finished my A-levels. I have always preferred hands-on learning, so I knew that starting a career in financial services, which is an industry I had always wanted to work in, made the most sense. An apprenticeship was the perfect way to start working whilst also learning about the industry and gaining qualifications in insurance. From day one of the apprenticeship, I was already learning a lot about insurance. The apprenticeship program started with a 6 week induction, which taught me so much about the insurance industry and was the perfect introduction as someone who had no experience in insurance at all. During the 6 week induction I also met the other apprentices who started at the same time, and it was great to have others in the same position as me who were just starting in the industry. The support I received throughout the program is one of the best parts. The Learning and Development team were always approachable (and still are) and would help with anything. When I transitioned into my role, the support continued, with all my colleagues being very supportive and approachable for any questions I may have. I have no regrets in my choice of starting an apprenticeship at Everywhen. It’s given me the chance to start my career early and gain a lot of knowledge, and I have enjoyed every moment since I started.” Role Overview The Apprentice Claims Handler will support the management of client claims and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality customer service. Responsibilities may include: Portfolio Support — assisting with day‑to‑day administration of claims, responding to client and insurer queries, and supporting claims activity, ensuring accuracy of information, assisting with progression of the claim. Relationship Management — maintaining professional relationships with clients, colleagues, insurer partners and many other parties connected to the claim. Claims Management Support - Assisting the claims team colleagues, Claims Executives and alike with preparing documentation, gathering data and attending internal or client meetings where required. Support the progression of claims, by timely proactive activity. Gain an understanding of policy coverage, claim process and client outcomes. System Administration — ensuring accurate CRM records and contributing to process improvements This role provides a strong foundation for a long‑term career in insurance. What We Offer Starting salary of £23,132 , with increases upon qualification 26 days holiday, increasing with length of service 35 hour working week Annual bonus scheme Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development A supportive, inclusive working environment Pension scheme for when you feel it’s time to retire 24-hour Employee Assistance support for you and your family’s physical and mental wellbeing Corporate perks such as discounted gym memberships, cinema tickets, shopping, Eyecare vouchers, cycle to work and much more One day paid volunteering to give back to our communities Ardonagh Community Trust (ACT) - raising funds for charity with donation matching in your local community The Spotlight Awards, where we celebrate the best of the Ardonagh Group and all the bright talent across our business.
