A growing and people-focused engineering and manufacturing business in Bridlington is looking to appoint an HR Learning & Development Specialist to join its team on a full-time, permanent basis.\n
\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about learning, talent and people development and is looking to build a long-term career as an L&D specialist within a progressive manufacturing business.\n
\n
\nWhilst the role sits within the HR team, its primary focus is Learning & Development. It would suit someone already working in an L&D role, or an HR Generalist, HR Advisor or HR Coordinator who has gained significant exposure to learning and development and is now looking to specialise in this area.\n
\nWorking closely with the Head of HR and senior leaders, you'll play a key role in delivering the company's Learning & Development strategy, supporting colleagues at every stage of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and apprenticeships through to leadership development, career pathways and future talent programmes.\n

\nThis is a visible, hands-on role within a fast-paced operational environment, requiring someone who can quickly build credibility, influence stakeholders and drive a positive learning culture across the business.\n

\nKey responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Support the delivery of the Learning & Development and people development strategy.
    • \n
  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding, leadership and professional development programmes.
    • \n
  • Lead and develop apprenticeship and early careers initiatives across the business.
    • \n
  • Build relationships with schools, colleges and external training providers to strengthen future talent pipelines.
    • \n
  • Support leadership development and internal talent programmes.
    • \n
  • Create and implement career pathways, competency frameworks and development resources.
    • \n
  • Coordinate internal and external training activities, ensuring effective use of budgets and resources.
    • \n
  • Monitor training compliance, competency records and development activity across the organisation.
    • \n
  • Coach and support managers with practical learning and capability development solutions.
    • \n
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR team on people initiatives where appropriate.
    • \n
About youWe're looking for someone who:\n

  • Has experience within Learning & Development, Talent Development, HR or people development projects.
    • \n
  • Is looking to establish themselves as an L&D specialist rather than remaining in a broad HR generalist role.
    • \n
  • Has a genuine passion for developing people and improving organisational capability.
    • \n
  • Can quickly build rapport and credibility with employees and managers at all levels.
    • \n
  • Is confident positively influencing and constructively challenging stakeholders.
    • \n
  • Is proactive, organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
    • \n
  • Enjoys being visible within the business and working closely with operational teams.
    • \n
  • Ideally has experience within manufacturing, engineering or another operational environment.
    • \n
