Teaching Assistant - Stafford - ST18

Location – Stafford (ST18)

Position: Full Time

Start Date - ASAP

Salary - £92.63 - £110.00 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a welcoming secondary school in Stafford who are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their support team. This is a full-time role, supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping students reach their full potential in a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering lessons across a range of subjects
  • Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to support learning
  • Encourage student engagement and participation within lessons
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Provide additional support to students who may need extra guidance
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
  • Support students’ academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Confident supporting students within a secondary school setting
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting student development
  • Relevant qualifications or experience within education are beneficial but not essential

This role would suit graduates, experienced Teaching Assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or individuals looking to gain classroom experience before teacher training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
