Job description
Job Summary
We are a well-established practice working across 2 sites with a list size of approximately 18,000 patients and we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Practice Nurse to complement our friendly and dynamic team. If you have Practice Nurse experience and are hardworking and passionate about providing a high standard of care to our patients, we would like to hear from you.

The salary is dependent on experience (equivalent to AfC pay band 5-6). NHS Pension Scheme available.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate must have Practice Nurse experience and will help ensure a high standard of care for all our patients, with particular focus on the management of long-term conditions. While the practice is highly supportive of professional development opportunities, we are seeking someone with the suite of Practice Nurse skills (LTC reviews, cytology, vac & imms, phlebotomy) who can truly hit the ground running.

This is a permanent, part-time position (25-30 hours per week) offering a wonderful working atmosphere within a friendly and supportive team. Our forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary team includes GPs, Pharmacists, Nurses, HCAs, and Phlebotomists, all supported by a strong administrative team.

About Us
We are a busy GP training practice operating across two sites in the former mining town of Eastwood. Although we are a large practice, we pride ourselves on maintaining a welcoming and collaborative environment and being a team player is absolutely essential to us.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly, forward-thinking team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care as part of our multidisciplinary team, supporting our registered patient population across both practice sites.

Key areas of responsibility include chronic disease management (such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, and hypertension), health promotion and disease prevention, immunisations, wound care, and well-being clinics. You will also contribute to clinical governance, helping review and implement policies and procedures to maintain safe and effective care.

This role offers the opportunity to work independently while being fully supported by a collaborative team of GPs, pharmacists, nurses, HCAs, and administrative staff. We are looking for someone with primary care experience who can make a real contribution from day one and who shares our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
