Job description
Job Summary
As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate clinical documentation, producing clear and timely reports for referring clinicians, and ensuring all patient records are completed in line with departmental and professional standards. You will be managing patient interactions with sensitivity and professionalism, providing appropriate explanations throughout examinations, and supporting patients who may require additional reassurance or guidance. You will be responsible for escalating concerns, following referral pathways, and ensuring patient care is delivered in accordance with medical ethics and best practice. You will also be responsible for maintaining your professional knowledge through continued learning, participating in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities to support the ongoing development of ultrasound practice

Main Duties of the Job

You will be managing the safe and effective use of ultrasound equipment, maintaining high standards of technical performance and adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and safety requirements. You will be supporting the wider clinical team by providing specialist advice when required and contributing to effective communication between healthcare professionals.
