Job Reference: RAL150726 Job Title: Labourer (Housing Maintenance) Salary: £27,000 DOE + van / fuel card / package Location: Derry, Londonderry, Northern Ireland VANRATH are recruiting a Labourer to work on Social Housing maintenance projects for a large, leading Construction Company in Derry, Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Remuneration: £27,000 DOE + van / fuel card / package Package Includes: Pension Scheme 24 days annual leave (+ public holidays) Life Cover equivalent to 1.5 times annual salary 24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing app Employee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailers Gym membership discounts Cycle to work scheme Broad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programmes General Overview Responsible for supporting skilled tradespeople and contributing to the general upkeep and maintenance of residential properties managed by the company. This role involves a variety of manual tasks to ensure that construction and maintenance projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities: Assist tradespeople such as plumbers, electricians, and joiners with their tasks Carry out basic repairs and maintenance work as directed Transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites Prepare and clean up job sites before and after work Handle waste disposal and recycling of materials Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment Operate basic construction equipment and tools Perform general labour tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving heavy objects Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors Customer service skills if role customer facing The Ideal Person: Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Basic knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in Construction CSR Card High level customer service skills Excellent communication skills Full, valid, clean driving license For further information on this vacancy, or any other Built Environment job in Belfast or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link below or contact Robert Apps for a confidential discussion IND03 Skills: Labourer Trades Construction Labour Maintenance Benefits: DOE + van / fuel card / package
