You’ll be joining our

Highways maintenance

team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?

Work as part of a team undertaking highway repairs.

Undertaking stonework and brick work replacement, upgrades and repairs on Wiltshire Highways structures.

Examples of some tasks are footways & drainage repairs and upgrades, installation or replacement of highways structures such as bridges & culverts, brick/stone work repairs, vegetation clearance.

Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.

Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the for the day to day tasks set.

Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.

Where appropriate provide direction/supervision of the work to less experienced operatives.

Undertake winter and emergency maintenance out of hours activities on a standby rota.

What you’ll bring

Clean driving License

A commitment to Health and Safety

Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy

Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weathers.

LGV Class C driving licence OR demonstrate capability to support investment of LGV Class C training during probationary period.
