Job description

No previous forensic experience is required, as full training will be provided. Main duties of the job As a qualified nurse or paramedic, you can take your career in an exciting new direction by supporting some of societys most vulnerable individuals within the criminal justice system. Working closely with the Police in custody suites, youll play a crucial role in delivering expert care to detainees. You can also earn £500 each time you refer a successful new colleague. Job responsibilities £1000 bonus when completed 12 months service(£500 for PT). Full time - this entails fixed shift working in a team rota pattern of 4 shifts on and 4 days off: 06:45 to 19:00 for 2-day shifts followed by 2-night shifts of 18:45 to 07:00. Part time - this entails fixed shift working: 06:45 to 19:00 for day shifts and night shifts of 18:45 to 07:00, working in a team rota pattern of2 dayshifts on, 8 days off, 2 nights, 4 days off. Rolling rota available 2 years in advance. Average estimated overtime £3500 per annum NMC/HCPC Registration paid Qualifications * RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration): 2 years post qualification - Band 5 minimum * Paramedic 2 years post qualification. * Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a patient‑facing role within a relevant field: General Practice, A & E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service * Driving Licence (required) * Must have RTW in UK, Lived in UK BritishPassportor ILR for 3 years + no gaps out of country more than 3 months * All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
