Main duties of the jobProvide
highquality general medical care to registered patients, including:
- Facetoface, telephone, and online consultations
- Diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions
- Undertake routine and urgent clinical appointments in line with the agreed sessions
- Manage and review clinical correspondence, pathology results, and reports
- Prescribe safely and costeffectively in accordance with local and national guidelines
- Act as the oncall / duty GP for one day per week

Job responsibilitiesDeliver
routine, urgent, and on the day GP consultations face to face, telephone, and digital
Manage
acute and chronic conditions, including prescribing and follow-up
Participate in
duty- on-call GP cover, including management of same day demand and clinical triage
Review and act on
clinical correspondence, pathology results, and clinical tasksMaintain accurate
clinical records and coding to support quality and QOF outcomes
Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Inclusion on the NHS England GP Performers List
- Commitment to CPD, annual appraisal, and revalidation
- Willingness to comply with all practice policies and procedures
- Experience of providing comprehensive general medical services in an NHS setting
- Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients, including those with complex health and social needs
- Experience of managing acute presentations and long-term conditions in primary care
- Experience of contributing to on call-duty GP cover and managing same day demand
Desirable- Sound knowledge of NICE guidance, QOF requirements, and NHS clinical governance
- Understanding of safeguarding adults and children and professional responsibilities
- Knowledge of confidentiality, data protection, and information governance requirements
