Job description

We have an incredible, brand new opportunity as a Digital Skills Trainer to join our Technology Team, working closely with the Head of ICT, Business Partners and Heads of Service to shape and deliver business change and technology-based projects that make a real difference. In this exciting role, you will help align our technology and data training needs with our wider business ambitions, developing the frameworks and capabilities that enable us to continuously deliver a valuable and forward-thinking service to our customers at Freebridge Community Housing.

Our Freebridge Community Housing goal is to provide affordable, safe, and quality homes for current and future generations, for those who need a place to call home. Freebridge was set up in 2006, to receive the transfer of the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk’s housing stock. We now have over 7500 properties across West and North Norfolk, in addition to building new homes for social and affordable rent, and to support those who want to move into shared home ownership. We’ve had numerous achievements, including delivering our customers' promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living. At Freebridge, we live by our values: Belong, Own It, Think Customer, One Team One Purpose, and Be the Change.

Requirements

Outline of key responsibilities...

  • Assess, design, develop and deliver consistent, high-quality IT application and data training across Freebridge, with a specific focus on key projects, operational needs and alignment with the Academy and wider management training programmes
  • Actively oversee all training aspects of key business applications across the organisation, driving forward the agenda for systems and data education and supporting the implementation of new features and workflows
  • Deliver IT training through a variety of methods, including structured classroom-based sessions as well as informal approaches such as on-the-job support, floor walking and remote access tools
  • Build and develop a comprehensive range of IT application and data training courses and materials to support colleagues at all levels across the organisation
  • Develop and maintain working training manuals for all existing and new systems, managing these throughout the full training lifecycle
  • Consult with and support the People Team and Heads of Service on internal IT training needs analysis, helping to shape objectives and ensure training is aligned to business priorities

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Experience and knowledge of Housing and Property Management systems and Microsoft 365 applications, with a proven track record of successfully delivering this expertise through multiple channels
  • A proven track record of designing and delivering IT training programmes that are engaging, effective and tailored to the needs of the audience
  • Experience of providing hands-on support to teams, helping colleagues build confidence and capability in the systems and tools they use day to day
  • Practical experience of e-learning toolsets such as Go to Training, Microsoft Teams and Skillgate, with the ability to deliver training effectively across a range of platforms
  • The ability to build strong working relationships across the organisation, gathering the information needed from stakeholders in a timely manner and working effectively within set timeframes
