Job description

Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career; with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

Where will you be working?

At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.

We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.

Private networks- We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

Want to come and be a part of it?

What will you be doing?

In this mobile role, you will install, commission, and maintain AC and DC electrical systems across telecommunications sites, ensuring all work meets safety and industry standards. You will support nationwide network infrastructure by conducting site surveys, scheduled testing, inspection, and completing all handover documentation. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving electrical faults, maintaining TELCO power systems, and installing electrical components, data cabling, and containment. You will also service and upgrade existing installations, test and certify equipment, and ensure full compliance with regulations such as BS 7671. The role requires accurate reporting, adherence to company procedures, and a strong focus on customer needs and onsite safety.

Ideally, you will be based in the Leicester or Northampton area; however, the role supports national contracts and will require regular travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays. While the Field Resource team will strive to allocate work as locally as possible, flexibility to travel nationwide in line with operational requirements is essential.

What you’ll bring?

Candidates must demonstrate strong skills in rack, charger, and telecoms equipment installation and commissioning, along with proven testing and certification expertise. They must be proactive, safety‑focused, and possess strong communication and organisational skills. Essential qualifications include City & Guilds 2391, 18th Edition, a Level 3 qualification, JIB Gold Card, the ability to obtain SC Clearance, and a full UK driving licence. Experience in routine maintenance, RAMS creation, AC/DC systems, schematic interpretation, and using digital devices is required.

What’s in it for you?

We offer a range of benefits designed to support your life in and out of work, some of which include.

·

Matched or contributory pension scheme

·

Online GP service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

·
