Senior BIM Technician

Salary: £36,000 - £60,000 (DOE) Location: Birmingham Area (Hybrid Working)

We are working with a well-established multidisciplinary design practice to recruit a talented Senior BIM Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to join a forward-thinking team and work on impactful, technology-driven construction projects.

About the Role

As a Senior BIM Technician, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality building information models and ensuring seamless project coordination. You'll be working alongside architects, engineers, and other professionals to push the boundaries of design through technology.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop, create, and manage digital models within BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows. * Coordinate and integrate MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) and structural data into BIM models. * Prepare and review construction drawings, ensuring compliance with industry and project standards. * Troubleshoot and resolve BIM-related issues to maintain project quality and timelines. * Stay informed on the latest BIM technologies and incorporate best practices into project delivery.

What Your Day Could Look Like:

* Collaborating with architects and engineers to merge designs into digital models. * Managing and reviewing data integrations for accuracy and compliance. * Identifying and resolving conflicts in project models using advanced tools like Revit and Navisworks. * Supporting multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver projects aligned with client expectations.

Your Skills and Experience

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic professional with:

* Strong BIM Expertise: Demonstrable experience managing and coordinating 3D digital project models. * Software Proficiency: Skilled in Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM-focused software tools. * Technical Knowledge: A sound understanding of building services, structural engineering, and 3D model data attribution. * Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to ensure compliance with standards and accuracy in design outputs. * Collaborative Mindset: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to thrive in multidisciplinary environments. * Qualifications: A degree or equivalent qualification in architecture, engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
