Job description
Pertemps are looking for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator to join our client based in the heart of Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established precision engineering company, producing high-quality components for a range of industries. Pay £16.00 - £18.00 per hour, depending on experience. Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:45 Friday: 07:00 - 15:00 Key Responsibilities Set and operate CNC sliding head machines. Produce precision components to specification and quality standards. Read and interpret engineering drawings. Carry out in-process inspections using measuring equipment. Make offsets and minor program adjustments where required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met. Requirements Previous experience setting and operating CNC sliding head machines. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience using precision measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A positive attitude and reliable work ethic. What We Offer Competitive hourly rate of £16.00 - £18.00, depending on experience. Full-time, permanent position. Early finish every Friday. Overtime opportunities (where available).
