We are seeking an experienced and talented Pastry Chef to join a professional culinary team renowned for producing exceptional desserts, artisan breads, pastries, and afternoon tea offerings. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef who thrives in a high-quality kitchen environment and enjoys working with fresh, seasonal ingredients to create memorable guest experiences.
As Pastry Chef, you will take ownership of the pastry section, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality products while supporting and developing junior members of the team. You will play a key role in maintaining exceptional standards of preparation, presentation, and service.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the daily operation of the pastry section.
* Create and prepare high-quality desserts, cakes, pastries, breads, and baked goods.
* Ensure all pastry preparation is completed to the highest standards prior to service.
* Maintain consistency in presentation, quality, and portion control.
* Support stock management, ordering, and supplier deliveries.
* Ensure food safety, hygiene, and storage procedures are followed at all times.
* Train, mentor, and inspire junior chefs within the pastry team.
* Contribute creative ideas and adapt to seasonal menu changes.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Chef.
* Strong knowledge of pastry production, baking, and dessert preparation.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* A passion for working with seasonal ingredients and learning new techniques.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* A positive attitude with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
