Premier Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers across all subject specialisms to work in a range of welcoming secondary schools throughout the High Peak area.

Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for greater flexibility or an ECT beginning your teaching career, supply teaching is one of the best ways to build relationships with local schools. It gives you the opportunity to experience different school environments, meet new colleagues, and showcase your teaching skills.

Many schools use supply teaching as a way of getting to know teachers before offering long-term or permanent positions. In fact, a number of teachers working through Premier Education have secured long-term and permanent roles after impressing schools whilst on supply.

The Role:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across your subject specialism
• Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment
• Following school behaviour and safeguarding policies
• Supporting students' learning and progress
• Adapting confidently to different schools and teaching environments

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
• Ability to teach your specialist subject with confidence
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
