Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity | September 2026 Start

Salary: £500–£560 per week (£100–£115 per day)

Are you passionate about giving children the very best start to their education?

Do you thrive in a nurturing, creative environment where every day is different, and every interaction helps shape a child's future?

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Leek (ST13) is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated EYFS team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children during the most important stage of their learning and development, helping them build the confidence, independence and essential skills they'll carry throughout their education.

Working alongside experienced Early Years practitioners and teachers, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment where every child can flourish.

What's On Offer?

  • Full-time role (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm)
  • Term-time only
  • Long-term opportunity within a supportive primary school
  • Weekly pay of £500-£560
  • Ongoing mentoring from experienced teachers and Early Years practitioners
  • Valuable experience within the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Opportunities to support creative, play-based learning every day
  • Excellent preparation for careers in Early Years, Primary Teaching and Child Development
  • Friendly school community with a collaborative and supportive culture
  • Convenient Leek (ST13) location

What You'll Be Doing

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Deliver engaging, play-based learning activities that inspire curiosity and creativity.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help children achieve key developmental milestones.
  • Encourage the development of early literacy, numeracy, communication and language skills.
  • Promote confidence, independence, positive behaviour and social development.
  • Help prepare exciting learning resources and maintain an engaging classroom environment.
  • Support observations and assessments in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents to ensure every child receives the support they need.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting young children's learning and development.
  • Caring, patient and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude.
  • An excellent communicator who enjoys building relationships with children, colleagues and families.
  • Proactive, reliable and eager to contribute to school life.
  • Committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Eligible to work in the UK – Full Time

Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting is desirable but not essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone with warmth, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for helping children thrive.

Start Making a Difference

If you're passionate about helping young children learn, grow and achieve their potential, we'd love to hear from you.
