Medlock Square marks a bold new chapter in the evolution of the Etihad Campus a vibrant yearround destination for culture leisure and entertainment set alongside two global icons: the Etihad Stadium home of Manchester City Football Club and the landmark Coop Live arena.

Named after the River Medlock that runs beneath the site the development celebrates Manchesters industrial heritage while shaping its next era of citydefining experiences. At the heart of this new district will be an extraordinary food and beverage offer: from relaxed coffee houses and allday dining to flagship restaurants and premium culinary experiences. Designed to serve both everyday visitors and major event audiences Medlock Square will deliver highquality hospitality all week long and across the events calendar.

About the role


As Restaurant Supervisor youll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the restaurant supporting the management team to deliver smooth high-quality service across all service periods. This is a hands-on role where youll lead by example on the floor coordinating the team supporting service flow and ensuring every guest has a great experience. Youll act as the link between the front-of-house team and management helping to maintain standards support team performance and keep operations running efficiently in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
You will be responsible for:

Service & Guest ExperienceSupport the delivery of a consistently high-quality guest experience across all service periods while acting as a visible and hands-on presence on the restaurant floor. Lead and support the front-of-house team during service ensuring guests receive warm professional and efficient hospitality at all times. Handle guest queries requests and feedback confidently while maintaining high standards of presentation atmosphere and service delivery throughout the venue.

Team Support & LeadershipSupervise and support front-of-house team members during shifts helping to create a positive energetic and guest-focused working environment. Assist with team briefings section allocation and service preparation while providing day-to-day coaching guidance and support to team members on the floor. Lead by example in maintaining professional standards teamwork and guest interaction.

Operational SupportSupport the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant by assisting with service flow table management and section coordination. Help oversee opening and closing procedures while ensuring the restaurant remains clean organised and fully operational throughout service. Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure efficient communication and smooth delivery of food and beverage service. Adapt quickly to matchdays concerts and event-driven trading periods where service volumes increase significantly.

Standards & ComplianceSupport compliance with food safety health & safety hygiene and licensing standards across all areas of the operation. Ensure company procedures and service standards are consistently followed by the wider team while maintaining high levels of cleanliness organisation and operational readiness throughout the restaurant. Promote safe working practices and professional standards at all times.

Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementWork closely with Restaurant Managers and wider operational teams to support service improvements and operational efficiency. Provide feedback on team performance guest experience and service flow while contributing to a culture focused on teamwork development and continuous improvement.

Skills Knowledge & Expertise


Essential
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior team member role within high-street / hotel restaurant
  • Strong understanding of service standards
  • Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stay organised and perform under pressure
  • Positive hands-on and proactive approach
Desirable
  • Experience in high-volume or premium hospitality environments
  • Experience supporting large-scale or event-based service
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and health & safety standards
