Store Manager (large store)

As Store Manager youll lead one of our larger Boots stores where retail and healthcare come together at scale. These are destination stores that showcase the very best of our brand and are often at the forefront of new ideas services and innovations.

Your store will be a go-to for customers with a range of needswhether theyre discovering the latest beauty products picking up everyday essentials or accessing an ever-growing range of NHS and private healthcare services all under one roof.

In this role youll lead a large multi-skilled team in a fast-moving people-focused environment. Every day is different. You might be guiding your team through a high-volume day helping a customer find the right product working with senior stakeholders or building strong relationships with local healthcare partners.

Over time youll build strong relationships with your regular customers and the local community as well as those who choose to travel to your store earning real trust through how you and your team show up every day.

Theres a lot to balance but what matters most stays the same. Youll lead from the front create a store where customers know they can rely on Boots and build a strong team culture where people feel valued confident and supported to do their best workeven when the pace picks up.

What youll be doing

As Store Manager youll report into the Area Manager and bring energy direction and purpose to your store. This is a hands-on leadership role where youll get stuck in on the shop floor supporting your team and role modelling how great care and strong sales performance go together.

You will:

• Lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service
• Drive sales and performance balancing customer care with commercial goals
• Build strong relationships with GP surgeries primary care networks and actively engage with the local community
• Deliver NHS and private services safely and confidently offering clear trusted and expert advice
• Champion the Boots brand and making your store stand out
• Get to know your people what motivates them and what needs to change
• Coach and support your teamhelping them grow in confidence skills and experience
• Be bold try new things and use data and insights to look for ways to improve every day
• Create a store environment and experience your team can be proud of and that keep customers coming back

What youll need to have (our must-haves)

• Retail management experience in a large fast-paced or complex environment
• Ability to drive performance and implement strategy in-store
• Great customer service skills and a passion for customer care
• A calm flexible approach with the confidence to adapt at pace
• A collaborative style. Able to build both a strong team culture and profitable external relationships
• Passion for learning and a drive to support others to grow

It would be great if you also have

• Confidence using new technology and digital tools
• Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment
• Experience coaching future leaders and developing talent
