Business Analyst - Finance & Actuarial
We have several new and exciting opportunities to join QBE as a Business Analyst partnering closely with business and technology teams with a strong focus on Finance & Actuarial.

Your new role
As a Business Analyst you will act as the critical link between business stakeholders and technology teams translating requirements into practical value-driven solutions. You will partner with the business to elicit and define requirements provide expert insight and support the delivery of initiatives that enhance capability and drive measurable outcomes.
Working closely with technology teams you will support the delivery of system enhancements and contribute to solution design.
Key responsibilities include:
Work with stakeholders to implement business-led change and support business objectives
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key internal stakeholders ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.
Assist in the development of project documentation and best practices.
Support end-users by ensuring thorough understanding of user requirements and providing relevant process documentation.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to develop functional specifications that design and document desired outcome of system enhancement/development
Participate in implementation planning and support successful outcomes.
Complete system and procedure performance testing providing recommendations for improvement.
Having the right to work in the UK is required for this role. Sponsorship may be considered at QBEs discretion.
About you
Background in insurance is essential
Finance / Actuarial experience particularly exposure to regulatory environments or Finance transformation initiatives is advantageous
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and user stories
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
A mindset that challenges the status quo and proposes new ideas
Experience working closely with technology/delivery teams
Workable understanding of process integrated with technology systems in an agile framework.
Strong organisational skills able to manage multiple deliverables
Business analysis technical analysis and process improvement experience
Broad level of understanding in IT with exposure to business process re-engineering commercial analysis development and monitoring of SLAs and business transformation.
Data analysis experience.
Process mapping experience.
