Full-time
Are you a Monitoring Surveyor looking to build a long-term career in civil engineering on major infrastructure projects? Do you want to take ownership of your own section of works while developing towards senior leadership roles within a growing business? If so, this could be the ideal next step for you.
Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is looking to appoint a Monitoring Surveyor to join their delivery team on a long-term infrastructure project. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering complex and rewarding works, while progressing your career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission and maintain geotechnical monitoring instrumentation Carry out monitoring surveys and ensure accurate collection, collation and interpretation of monitoring data. Manage, record and file monitoring data, ensuring information is accurate and up to date. Attend client meetings to discuss monitoring results and provide technical updates. Prepare Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Activity Briefings and Installation Commissioning Reports. Liaise effectively with clients, site management and internal project teams. Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures on site. Support continuous improvement and professional development. Develop an understanding of project costs, risk management and commercial awareness.
What We're Looking For
Experience within geotechnical monitoring, instrumentation or a related engineering environment. Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical reports. Strong AutoCAD skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel and excellent overall IT skills. Good understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and industry best practice. Valid CSCS Card. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites. Previous experience in a geotechnical monitoring or instrumentation role. BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering, Geology or a related discipline (or equivalent qualification).
