About Rushcliffe Care Group

You will be joining Rushcliffe Care, a company with over 35 years of experience in offering the highest levels of care to our most vulnerable in society. Across our services, we support people to live safer, more fulfilling lives, with dignity, choice, and consistency at the centre of everything we do.

Our work is guided by clear values. These are not slogans. They shape how we treat people, how we work together, and what we expect from each other.

About the Role

As a Support Worker at Rushcliffe Care Group, your primary responsibility will be to provide physical, social, and psychological care to our service users. You will work closely with healthcare team leaders to ensure the well-being and dignity of individuals we support. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting the dignity and independence of individuals we support, taking into account their unique needs and backgrounds.
  • Assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal times, and social interactions, while encouraging freedom of choice.
  • Participating in social activities, outings, and hobbies, helping to create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for those in our care.
  • Providing emotional and psychological support through active listening, conversation, and 1-to-1 activities.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided and reporting any changes in a service user’s physical or emotional state.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both service users and staff.
  • Undertaking training and development opportunities, including completing the Care Certificate within the probationary period.

What Our Values Mean in Practice

Reputable Care

  • Delivering safe, evidence-based care in line with clinical standards and policies.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records.
  • Taking responsibility for clinical decisions and outcomes.

Respect and Compassion

  • Treating every service user with dignity, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Supporting individuals to be involved in their care and recovery.
  • Recognising and responding to individual needs and experiences.

Robust Communication

  • Working effectively within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Escalating risks, concerns, and changes in presentation promptly.
  • Ensuring clear and accurate handovers and documentation.

Real Commitment

  • Being reliable, accountable, and consistent in practice.
  • Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Maintaining professional development and clinical competence.

About The Service

The Hall is a 24 bed Nurse-Led Specialist Mental Health Unit, that with the support of a Multi-Disciplinary Team takes a Holistic approach to the care of individuals presenting with complex and long standing mental health conditions. What We Offer

  • We provide a structured induction and ongoing clinical support to ensure you are confident and effective in your role.
  • You will receive supervision, training, and opportunities to develop within a growing service, including progression into leadership roles.
  • You will be part of a new service where standards, culture, and practice are being actively shaped, giving you the opportunity to contribute and influence how the service develops.

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which is covered by Rushcliffe Care.

Employment decisions are based on individual merit, qualifications, and the needs of the service. Some roles may have specific requirements, such as physical ability or effective communication in English, due to the nature of the care we provide. These requirements are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our service users and are applied fairly and proportionately. To support our commitment to equal opportunities, we may collect diversity data as part of the application process.
