\nAre you an experienced Bookkeeper looking to join a friendly and established accountancy practice? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-respected firm based near Richmond that is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to become a valued member of their growing team.\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive practice environment, managing a varied portfolio of clients across multiple industries while developing your skills and career.\n

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients.
    • \n
  • Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations, and journals.
    • \n
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
    • \n
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable.
    • \n
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures.
    • \n
  • Liaising with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries.
    • \n
  • Using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
    • \n
  • Supporting accountants with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
    • \n
The Ideal Candidate\n
    \n
  • Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accountancy practice.
    • \n
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software.
    • \n
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
    • \n
  • Good communication skills with a professional and client-focused approach.
    • \n
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
    • \n
  • AAT qualification or equivalent would be advantageous but is not essential.
    • \n
