Assistant Manager

We are looking for a motivatedand experienced Assistant Packaging Manager to join our Production team. Thisis a hands-on leadership role where youll support the day-to-day management ofour packaging operations ensuring our lines run safely efficiently and to thehighest quality standards.

As one of two site Assistant Packaging Managers youwill work closely with the Packaging Manager supportingthe leadership of the packaging department deputising when required andplaying a key role in delivering operational performance developing our peopleand ensuring accurate production reporting. Youll be a visible presence on theshop floor coaching colleagues maintaining high standards of safety andquality and helping drive continuous improvement across the department.

What Youll Be Doing

Overseeing the safe andefficient day-to-day operation of the packaging lines

Deputising for the PackagingManager during shift handovers daily production meetings and weekly planningmeetings

Delivering the productionschedule while maximising efficiency quality packaging yield and OverallEquipment Effectiveness (OEE)

Recording and reviewingproduction data producing weekly and monthly packaging KPI reports andensuring accurate reporting

Booking finished goods onto theERP system and supporting month-end production reconciliation

Championing health & safetyfood safety and quality compliance across the department

Supporting the developmentimplementation and review of SOPs Risk Assessments and departmentaldocumentation

Coaching and developingcolleagues through on-the-job training shadowing and supporting training plans

Identifying training needs andsupporting the ongoing development of the production team

Leading troubleshootingactivities and escalating operational issues appropriately

Driving continuous improvementinitiatives and supporting production planning

Providing hands-on operationalsupport on the packaging lines when required

Fostering a positivecollaborative culture that reflects our values and drives high performance

What WereLooking For

At least one years experienceas a Production Team Leader or Supervisor within a manufacturing or productionenvironment

A confident and hands-on leaderwho enjoys coaching and developing others

Strong problem-solving skillsand the ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced productionenvironment

Experience monitoring productionperformance including OEE packaging yield and quality metrics

Experience producing productionreports and maintaining accurate operational records

A good understanding of health& safety food safety and quality management systems

Excellent communication andrelationship-building skills

A proactive approach tocontinuous improvement and operational excellence

Qualifications

HACCP Level 2

General Certificate in Packaging(desired)

Counterbalance FLT Licence (desired)

Working Patterns
You will work 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday on a shift pattern thatalternates mainly between earlies and lates.
Youwill be expectedto work occasional night shifts and flexibility is important to meetproduction requirements.
Shift times are as follows:

Earlies -6:00am to 2:30pm

Lates - 2.00pmto 10:30pm

Nights 10:00pm to 06:30am
